If how to have your car demolished has been on your mind for a while now, don’t worry: it’s simpler than you think!
Comauto Autodemolizioni takes care of the whole process, from picking up the vehicle (at your own home if required) to deregistration and cancellation from the PRA, the Public Vehicle Registry.
When you leave your vehicle at our premises, you’ll receive the scrapping certificate, and from then on, we take on civil and criminal liability for the end-of-life process.
Once we’ve quickly taken care of the formalities and the treatment of the vehicle, we will see to deregistration from the pertinent PRA.
Once the vehicle has been dismantled and crushed, we send it for smelting.
All these steps are carried out and monitored by qualified staff who take specific refresher courses every year.

In the absence of the aforementioned documents, please note that it is necessary to bring the original report made to the Carabinieri headquarters.
*Since 5 October 2015, the Certificate of Ownership has been issued by the PRA exclusively in digital form, progressively replacing the paper document for the formalities required from that date onwards.
What is PRA radiation?
The P.R.A. is the Public Vehicle Register established with the R.D.L. no. 436 of 15 March 1927 and entrusted to the management of the Automobile Club of Italy in which all the data involving the ownership of a vehicle are collected.
Withdrawing your vehicle from the P.R.A means putting an end to the life cycle of your car, through self-demolition for example, and not being able to circulate with it anymore.
We remind you that cancellation takes place within a period of 30 days from the delivery of your vehicle and that any other use, outside of consultation of the document, may be legally prosecuted.
The data requested by this service are not stored in any form but processed only for research purposes in compliance with the EU Regulation 2016/679 for Data Protection GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) which determines the "guidelines" to be adopted on the matter of Protection of Individuals with regard to the Processing of Data and the free movement of such data.
